In France (Lorient), the CHRS Mozaïk answers to the social inclusion needs in emergency situations. According to the evolution of the French society, the policy makers have provided more fundings to answer the social needs. It means the main aim is not only to welcome the young homeless persons but also to carry out social inclusion. The young homeless are difficult to be managed by the social workers because they don't trust the social institutions and services. They don't accept the social rules and it is also a problem to accommodate them with their dogs because the animals don't accept to stay alone during the day. It is not hopeless because the young homeless are able to reconstruct their own social system in their own environment (squat, group life,..). The problem is the relation with the mainstream society

CESIE works at local level (but with an international and intercultural perspective) in a context characterised by diverse problems. We can identify the one more connected with this project, that is the high proportion of homeless adults (Italian and immigrant) living in diverse places of the city. Those live in a critical situation and the structures and services that exist to give support are not enough and don't achieve strong results.
There is the need that social workers, psychologists and all the multidisciplinary team that carry on activities with homeless people get new approaches and strategies that can be more efficient within the reintegration of this target.
CESIE works with international projects since 6 years and we had the possibility to evaluate the positive impact of working in cooperation projects with partners from all Europe and from other countries of the world. We believe this approach can enrich to a large extent the work carried out by the organisations because comprises a much more complex level of communication, of working rules/values and practice, and of cultural diversity. It means exchange, sharing, diversity, change and get to the improvement of professional level and greater impact in targets.
We believe this specific project can have good results and impact in the learners by giving them opportunities that they usually don't have access: meeting with an international team, share good practice with colleagues from other countries, develop new practice, carry on international survey and research, etc. These opportunities will allow as well to improve the situation of homeless people, which is an important impact. The international dimension of the project will permit to create quality results that fulfill needs of targets in diverse contexts and will serve to have a broader perspective of situation of homeless in partner countries. We are very interested in work in such a partnership and develop together new innovative strategies and ideas that aim to integrate homeless.

Association for Education and Sustainable Development (AESD) is the educational centre and its main activities are implementation courses of formal or informal lifelong education, building an organized system of consulting, information and training with a lifelong duration. One of the activities of the association is to analyse the needs of the region and to make a network of local centres of distance learning (education), easily accessed by the unfavoured zones. The association tries to be complementary to the educational network that already exists and to offer more flexibility for the long life learning of adults.
The city of Calarasi is one of the more insufficient development region of Romania. One of the biggest social problems in our region is growing unemployment and economy stagnation. More of 10% from the total population are gypsies people.
Till now there is a small proportion of homeless adults, most of them gypsies, living around the city, but we expected a growth for the next years. Local authorities aren't prepared for this phenomenon.
The participation of our association in this project would have a remarkably positive impact on the development of a new learning culture in our region. By cooperating with well-experienced European institutions in the field of homeless persons, this will certainly raise the very potential of our association to serve the learning needs in this focus area. Providing the authorities in charge with the matter are going to appreciate the final outcome of this project, an increased area of implementation might be considered.
